"Our very own Adam and Eve."

- I should begin this entry with the most important TV event, LOST.
Lost was pretty open and simple, I don't know why people didn't like this episode... Really.
I know hardcore fans were disappointed that the whole episode was an origin story about Jacob and MiB, but didn't we want to know what the hell was about those two since season 5? Hell even season 4? I think it was very well done.
But was it really LOST? I'm not sure. I've never been a fan of supernatural stuff in LOST. I wish it stayed as the Robinson Crusoe island as it was in Season 1, but it's too late to complain. We have polar bears and smoke monsters. And now we have a holy light that shines in each and every person in the world. When it goes out in the island, it goes out everywhere.
I'm not like other people who are looking for further answers. This satisfied me. I'm not impressed and honestly I would have expected something more tangible and WOW-inducing after 5 1/2 seasons of "WTF IS GOING ON HERE?", but still, it makes sense for the way LOST handles things.
There's this light in this freaky island and it's more spiritual and magical rather than logical and scientific. And there must be a person who has to protect it. I don't care where that woman came from, for all I know God put her there. We're spiritual so I can just go ahead and put God into the equation.
My questions are:
1. Why was she so suprised (or should I say shocked) when that pregnant woman had twins?
2. Was she going to kill the actual mom no matter how many kids she had?
3. Was that pregnant woman chosen or something?
So the intention behind all this "replacement" thing is not clear at all. I mean why is MiB so special? Jacob is clearly the wrong choice to be the replacement and I'm totally on MiB's side. He simply wanted to get out of the island because the woman didn't answer any of his questions.
The woman was extremely mum about the light for the sake of the shocking finale, maybe? I hope so. Because my expectations are way lower that it used to be in the beginning of the season.
I hate LOST teories with all my heart, but I really liked this episode. If writers want us to accept this show as a magical/fantasy show, I'll do it. At least now I know what to expect.
Some people say they want to say their goodbyes to their beloved characters, not see Jacob MiB backstory, but I cannot care less. I don't want to say goodbye to anyone. I don't want longing looks between Jack and Kate, I don't want any more "dude"s from Hurley. I don't want anymore meaningful glances between Smokey!Locke and pretty much everyone else. I want ANSWERS and this episode provided me with lots of them, so thank you LOST. For once in 2 years I didn't skip-watch an episode and it was delightful.
I especially loved the exchange between Jacob and the woman on the beach. Jacob asking "Then why do you love him more?" was absolutely amazing. This proves how much of a sucker I am for sibling stories.
- I enjoyed Glee very much, as usual. Santana should sing more often!!! Especially with Mercedes! Brandy and Monica should have been crying in some dim corner because the way those two girls sang the song... guh. Love it.
And Fin was pretty good with Jesse's Girl! I liked his singing, but there was a slight second hand embarrassment with the way he performed. Is it because he's too tall, but there's something wrong with his posture. I don't like it. And the way he STARED into Rachel's eyes was simply awkward.
There was no Groff this week, woe was me.
Kurt and his father = ♥
- I'm going to see Mika on 29th with a big group of friends! (especially with
glenien and
awakencordy!) They delivered my ticket today. I love online shopping so much, it's insane.
- Okay guys, now listen to me. Are you looking for new shows to watch this summer? I know you do. So just go ahead watch these three:
1. Legend of the Seeker: Because it's amazing, fun, sexy and the NZ scenery is to die for.
2. Cougar Town: IT.IS.NOT.ABOUT.A.COUGAR. It's one of those heartwarming and extremely funny ensemble shows, plus it's created by Bill Lawrance (Scrubs).
3. Lie to Me: It's smart. It's interesting. It's procedural, yet not so much formulaic as other procedural shows. Cast is amazing, chemistry is just the right amount!
I, myself, will start watching Burn Notice and White Collar this summer. I'm hoping to be swept away by both!
- I love my new header: Kahlan being bad ass with her hair and awesome dress flowing around ♥
- I'm addicted to Tumblr.
- I think I'm losing weight, but not sure.
- It's too hot in here, I'm having a hard time breathing properly wtf. Turn on the AC!
