I'm waiting for Greek to finish downloading, it has 20 mins. to go and apparently I've been sleepwalking whole day because I pretty much forgot downloading all the important shows. Except How I Met Your Mother. It was really nice Except... ) Then there is Gossip Girl but you already witnessed my excessive reactions 2 entries before, so no need to mention it again.

How awesome was the Oscars this year? Haters to the left, Anne Hathaway was flawless.

That was supposed to be a real life post, right? Yeah.

Work is work. Sometimes too much work and sometimes a lot fun, but still, work is work. And apparently it is a neverending cycle of projects. One ends, another one starts and I'm always the designated driver during those parties. No fun, always work. Although there's a very important upside to all of this I FEEL LIKE A FREAKING QUEEN BECAUSE EVERYONE NEEDS ME. So yeah, universe and I have a slightly skewed way of understanding each other.

Mom's left us alone for the remainder of this week. She's visiting her eldest brother (aka my eldest uncle) and having a good time while I feed my brother, my dad and myself. At least there's no immediate laundry to attend to so I'm a happy sailor. I hate doing the laundry. It's gonna be me and the dirty dishes this week, fun times ahead y/y?

I've been e-mailing back and forth with 2 of my college friends. One of them is getting married this fall so we've been talking about sex, marriage and kids a lot. I have none of them, S has sex, N has sex and marriage, so I mostly take part in the conversation with my fictional knowledge of real life relationships. I'm giving all sorts of advices while I'm thinking about the characters I wrote about throughout the years. I feel like I've lived 943593 lives, but in fact I haven't lived 1 at its fullest.

I don't want to go deeper on the subject of love, sex, marriage and kids, so I'll cut this part short. Don't want to bring you down with me during my pathetic attempt at validating the absent parts of my own life.

On a happier note I've downloaded the BluRay rip of Tangled. It gives me so much joy. And I love Natalie Portman.

ETA: Tangled was even more amazing and fun the second time around. ♥

>> Can't stop listening to Taylor Swift.
Favourites from the latest album:
- Speak Now
- Back to December
- If This was a Movie
- Mean
I would have had more fav. songs if I had stopped listening to one of the above constantly for hours and HOURS.

>> I AM SO BORED RIGHT NOW. I'm more tired than bored, but still pretty bored. Remember the time when I complained about my job? Yeah, it got better. I got the hang of things faster than I expected AND THINGS WENT FROM CRAZY DIFFICULT TO DAMN BORING IN LIGHT SPEED. I can get no satisfaction. Shoot me.

>> We'll leave work early tomorrow. October 29th is a national holiday (Republic Day) so they give us an extra half day as a gift for being SUCH AWESOME CITIZENS. True story. I can really use a vacation though, I'm very tired.

>> Now, I will talk about FANDOM. Monday TV was pretty good, don't you think? HIMYM was Robin-centric and it was especially delightful with the spoilery scene ) Then came Chuck and I kind of cried at the end. Gossip Girl was okay, considering it had Jenny in it, but I wasn't extremely annoyed. Moderately uncomfortable is the definition. Blair had it coming this time, not gonna lie.

>> Who's doing NaNo this year? I'll just cheat and finish my ongoing novel. It's at 30K at the moment. 20K in a month shouldn't be a problem. We'll see. If you guys want to share your frustration throughout the whole thing, [livejournal.com profile] katayla just opened a community: [livejournal.com profile] theangstofnano, go ahead and join.

>> 16:35! STILL HAVE 1.5 HOURS TO GO! ARGH!

Once again, life has proved me that nothing is as hard as it seems. Small things, but still...

I had two different stuff from two different projects that needed to be done this week and I was literally looking at my screen, crying inside, not wanting to do any of it because they seemed to difficult. Hence, I formatted my computer, found other stuff to do instead of work, but finally I sat down and started working on them. I am done now, both of those job requests are completed and submitted to the analysis department for testing. I didn't know anything about them at first, but I LEARNED. I am so relieved. I think I'll never learn to NOT stress over stuff at work.

Was there a new Glee episode this week? Or Gossip Girl? I hate it when they mess up my tv schedule, but on happier note I am enjoying How I Met Your Mother very much this season. It's going extremely well ♥ If any of you stopped watching it because they kinda messed it up last season, you can start again now.

Now, what shall I do to pass time?

I bought a netbook for my brother. It's an Asus Eee netbook, they've just delivered it and stupid me, I turned it on without plugging it in and its battery died in the middle of registry modification, so Windows doesn't boot up now. LOL. I'll just install Windows all over again, but first I need to find a plug & play optic driver to use the installation CD with. Netbooks are awfully cute and practical, but not having an optic drive is kind of frustrating. Especially for me and my brother. We love formatting our computers. We should invest on making bootable flash disks.

That's all folks, how's the weather out there?

On a very unrelated note; Paramore's music annoys me to no end.

Oh and a slightly related note; I downloaded the 1st season of Legend of the Seeker and I'll start watching it asap! ♥

>> Subject line has nothing to do with my current mood. I'm perfectly fine and smiling without heartache :)

>> I'll take the day off tomorrow to go and give fingerprints and such for my driver's license. This means a whole day without internet because we'll be at the other house. I'll take my laptop and catch up on some movies I wanted to watch or you know, WRITE! I really like random day-off's, so refreshing...

>> How I Met Your Mother )

>> Lie to Me )

>> Yay new Scrubs today! Can't wait to see some Drew *dreamy fangirl eyes*

Greetings from the "download the day after" land! Here is another good Monday TV review for all of you!

How I Met Your Mother )

Gossip Girl )

Lie to Me )

House )

I'm still watching Accidentally on Purpose, but I don't think it's worth to talk about. It's fun and all, but meh...

I have absolutely nothing to do today at work. I want to write, but 80% sure that I won't. Let's see if I can win a bet against myself.

Monday TV!

thelake: (himym: forced double date)
Yeah, yeah... Today is Wednesday but so what? And let me tell you, this Monday's TV was gooood.

Of course, first of all, GREEK! )

Yeah, I know I told you that I'll stop watching it, but I just couldn't help myself;
Gossip Girl )

and finally, How I Met Your Mother )

Yup, that is all. I'm now leaving for a whole day of ASP.NET programming, see you later alligator!
thelake: (bttf: dr. emmett brown)
It seems that I've gotten a bit too much used to being lazy, because starting from tomorrow I'll be busy as hell and it suprised me a lot (in a good way)!

Very fun work stuff and schedule )

I'll be entering the Christmas spirit with the first week of November. Just so you know... Christmas carols, here I come!

Also I've managed to watch Greek and HIMYM last night:

Greek )

How I Met Your Mother )

I couldn't watch Lie to Me, I'll get to it tonight!

Also I want to watch Back to the Future again sometime... I think it'll be my 54867th time, but whatever. Dr. Emmett Brown owns my soul.
thelake: (random: pretend to work)
I have absolutely nothing interesting going on in my life, which results in me not updating my journal regularly.

But as Mr. Humphrey Bogart said: we'll always have Paris TV! I'm pretty late on that too, I'll talk about Monday TV...

Greek, HIMYM, House, Lie to Me, Accidentally on Purpose )

I watched Normal Again last night (BTVS Season 6). Oh my, how I adore that episode! SMG makes such a perfect crazy person and Buffy is particularly pretty in that episode. ♥

I also watched Alias. I'm still on Season 4 and I'm kind of bored. I'm trying to reach to the season finale and the only thing I'm worried about is Jack. Other than that, I'm feeling a little disconnected right now.

Aside from the things I watch, let's talk about things I write, or to be more accurate, things I'm planning on writing but never have enough inspiration to begin. I want to write at least 10 different things right now, but I absolutely have no idea how to do that. It mostly feels like an obligation to write lately, so I'm waiting until I feel better about it. Time is the best medicine...

Last but not the least, we've just made dinner plans with my bffs, hopefully the world will not collapse, and we'll make it. *crosses fingers* It was completely spontaneous and unplanned, so I'm guessing everything's going to be okay.

Wow, this Bach song (Violin Partita 1 in B min.) is killing my brain with constant and absolute violin voice *changes* and I like violin.

Glee and all sorts of fun shows (Bones, Cougar Town) tonight (yesterday for you :P), can't wait.
thelake: (arela: [faye] bored much?)
Last week was a mess. I was sick and kind of depressed so I ended up watching everything on the weekend.

So here we go, weekly TV digest October 5th-11th TV )

Haven't watched Brothers & Sisters yet, but I gotta tell you that I'm loving it this season. Such amazing group of people in one show. Katie, you should catch up asap!

Also when will Lady Gaga make a new album? Do it Gaga, I'm already bored with this one!

TV talk!

I'm kind of disoriented after 3 days of vacation since I haven't been out of my work-home routine for a solid year, so I just watched my shows and caught up.

I'm not going to go into detail, just stray observations, so no plot spoilers, but you might want to skip if you don't like reading reactions.

Thursday TV

Vampire Diaries: I officially don't care about the plot, just watching for pretty people and I still think Stefan would make a perfect Edward Cullen.

Supernatural: I'm really sorry, but I'm not feeling it. I'll stop watching it for now and read reviews or reactions from my bffs if I feel like it. Supernatural is best when it's observed from a distance.

The Office: Michael Scott at his best: being extremely and painfully awkward! The Office can go on for 10 more seasons and I'll still be interested.

Community: Oh I like it! I'll give it a few more episodes for the final verdict.

Project Runway: Wow, I've never seen so many lies and laziness from a single person. Logan is so cool and cute and oh so dreamy.

Saturday TV

Merlin: I didn't like it. I couldn't find the depth of Season 1, especially with Arthur. It was like all the character development in Season 1 is magically vanished. No pun intended, and other romantic stuff felt a little forced. Morgana was still pretty though, I love her ♥

Monday TV

Greek: I want more Beaver! ♥ and I want Cappie and Casey to focus on each other. ESPECIALLY CAPPIE.

Gossip Girl: Much better than last week. I still don't understand Nate's function in all this, but he is pretty, as usual. I don't like Serena and whatever she does to have whomever's attention. I don't get it.

How I Met Your Mother: If you're looking for a perfect start to a new season, watch this show and learn. Amazing. 10/10. I laughed my ass off and it was beyond my expectations. Amazing, I say.

House: Haven't watched that one yet, lol. I don't feel like watching 2 hours of crazy Dr. House. I'm too lost and restless for that. I need to find my pace with my online and creative life. But I'll definitely watch it. I can't miss it.

Emmy Awards Downloading it right now, don't know when I'll watch it, but I'm looking forward to see NPH! ♥

Lolster has just woken up to eat some snacks and it reminded me how hungry I am right now. Smart hamster, already helping me with my healthy eating schedule.

HIMYM!

Spoilerish How I Met Your Mother interview video below which makes me all happy inside!! ♥

The day didn't start as I planned it. First of all it is relatively cold right now, so the pool plan is out.

Then mom and I tried to make chocolate soufflé and it didn't work LOL! It ended up being some kind of a wet cake. But since it's chocolate it's always edible.

My boss and Anna called me at 11 am from work, 6 times, and when I returned the call at 12 pm they already got MF to do the job. I'm mildly annoyed by the fact, but it's their fault, they didn't tell me to put up holiday messages in the system and I was busy, it didn't even occur to me. So, me not returning calls on time shouldn't be my fault. That's good.

Then I watched Gossip Girl season finale. GG Season Finale )

This was one of the very nice season finales I've seen so far. Kudos Gossip Girl ;)

After that, I watched How I Met Your Mother season finale! The Goat and all the stuff in between )

One question though: How can Cobie Smulders be that thin? Wasn't she pregnant last week? Did they shoot the finale months ago?

Now mom is watching a movie (My Super Ex-Girlfriend), as soon as she finishes that we'll go shoe shopping. She found a place that had a "Buy 2 Pay 1" thing going on, so we'll go and buy ourselves some sneakers. I'm gonna buy a new Converse! Most probably in green ♥

Then maybe if I can find some time in between, I may write a little bit. MAYBE. I'm going downhill with my new (not) writing habit, I should fix this asap.

So, see you all later guys! And for my Turkish friends:

19 Mayıs Gençlik ve Spor bayramınız kutlu olsun! :D
thelake: (random: set me free)
Now that summer is officially here, the office is freezing cold. I'm constantly trying to find a way to cover my chest and arms. I didn't get cold during the winter, I'm not going to get one in summer. Please...

I don't know if it's because summer has come, but I'm broke. LOL. It's good that I'm living with my parents, but when my credit card bill is higher than my current balance, it's bad. (I'm not talking about thousands of dollars of course, but still, I'm broke.) *puts a tip box in the corner*

How many of you are excited about this year's Eurovision? Or more importantly, how many of you know what Eurovision is? I'm certainly very excited about our song and artist (Turkey, Hadise - Düm Tek Tek) this year. I haven't seen the semi-final performance, but as far as I've seen from the pictures, it looks great! The red costumes and figures and all...

Do any of you still watch Brothers & Sisters? Because I've watched 5 episodes back to back last night and I think I had an overdose or something. Too much Walker drama omg. )

How I Met Your Mother )

Gossip Girl )

I don't want to work at all, so I'll just watch House until lunch break is over...
