This past weekend I was at a church service that was themed for younger children. When the preacher asked some of the younger kids what they thought God looked like, a little girl raised her hand and confidently said "Morgan Freeman."

I absolutely adore "... Almighty" movies for this =)) People used to think portraying the US President was cool, now God is in, President is out.

I have no strong feelings about the movies - always found them a bit slapstick - but that said, I think it's encouraging that God is no longer portrayed as the mythical white man. Here's hoping he'll one day be portrayed as a she, as well.
