Skins

I'm gonna start watching Skins. How many of you watched it or heard about it? I know katayla was watching it (and that's how I kept the name of the show in the back of my mind), but don't know if more of you are out there...

I'll be keeping an eye on Effy since she's pretty much the only name I've heard in random posts and places. What more can I expect from this show?

Effy is only important in the 3rd series, really. She has a supporting role in the first two series, but nothing too huge. Basically the first two series revolve around one group of kids (including Effy's older brother), but then they graduate and so the third series revolves around another group of kids that includes Effy. So since her series is the most recent, that's probably why you've seen the most about her.

Personally I've only watched the first two series. I just got so attatched to the first group of kids that I just don't think Skins will be the same with other kids. Idk, maybe I'll watch series 3 sometime this summer.

It's really hard to explain the show, but it's a lot of fun. It's sort of teen soap opera, I guess.

I really miss a good teen soap opera.. I was considering re-watching The OC, but Skins will fill that void I'm sure..

and as far as I know each series have 10 episodes so it's going to be pretty easy to catch up :))

I watched the first two seasons but not the 3rd because the cast changes and yeah, I think Effy is the only original character to stay. I hope you enjoy it. Some episodes were better than other throughout the seasons imo. :)

I have the first two seaons in my computer right now. I'll start watching tonight and report back! there are 10 episodes per season so quite easy to catch up..

It's a teen drama, but darker and dirtier than the American ones! :) I do enjoy it, though, even with the cast change in the third season.

I don't think I'll mind the cast change so much. British teen dramas annoy me sometimes (like Holly Oaks or some sort) but this might do the trick.. 10 episodes per season, so it won't be that hard to catch up. AFTER 10 SEASONS OF FRIENDS.
