awakencordy wanted me to do Friends, STAR TREK! and Merlin :DFriends
01) What got you into this fandom in the first place?
I've always wanted to be an actual part of the Friends fandom, but it just didn't happen. I used to watch it from here and there, when we're hanging out with friends in the dorm, or randomly on some TV channel. I knew exactly what was going on in the series, all the relationships and stuff, so I thought "Well, do I really need to watch it?"
Then my brother started watching from the beginning and every single day he came up to me and told me how awesome it was. It was really hard to resist, so I began watching it. I think it's been almost 2 months (maybe more) and I'm in the middle of Season 8 now, I'm so sad it's going to end after 2 more seasons! I don't know what I'm gonna do then!
02) Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
Friends is forever. It's such an ultimate classic, I don't know if anyone ever thought of completely moving on. Well, at least I won't be.
03) Favorite episodes/books/movies/etc.?
LOL omg, that is a very difficult question because I totally don't know all the names to the episodes, but generally I have some very favourite events in the show:
SPOILERS AHEAD
- Pregnant Phoebe!
- Janice! I'm still waiting for her to pop up from somewhere with the famous OH.MY.GOD. ♥
- Monica/Chandler and the whole London episode =))
- Ross' fake british accent
- Rachel's long, straight hair. She is such a stunning woman that Aniston...
- Brad Pitt!!! I had no idea he was in the show as a guest star, I truly screamed to the screen. I still feel sad over their break up with Jennifer. They looked so beautiful together.... (Well Brangelina is a dream, but whatever! Team Rachel!)
- On the contrary, I don't LOOOVEEE Ross/Rachel. Maybe it's because it was imprinted on my brain since middle school.
- Fat Monica! She's so much fun!
- The Bings
and so much more! I love everything about this show. It makes me laugh so hard, I can't believe myself.
04) Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
Except for this meme and my rare discussion with friends, no, I don't participate. I wish I could though, but I love it so much to actually see it as a fandom and write fictions or make graphics for it. I love it just the way it is. And I don't think I can find a decent discussion place for the fandom, since everyone's on the same page now: Friends rocks.
05) Do you think that more people should get into this fandom?
I think the whole world should get into this fandom! (And probably it already happened.) It's never too late! Go own all the seasons, even if you have never watched an episode before, try it! It's really THAT GOOD.
STAR TREK!
01) What got you into this fandom in the first place?
I was a tiny little kid back then, and my parents used to love the show. It was one of our Sunday routines. Star Trek and Mission Impossible. My love for space and futuristic universes come from Star Trek. That's big thing. People always think Crash (my book) is similiar to Star Wars, but no, it's Star Trek.
But to be honest, I don't remember all about TOS (and I haven't watched any of the other series), but I was there, I know it and love it.
02) Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
Since there is this amazing new movie out me and almost all of the world will stay in this fandom for a very veryyyy long time :) And I'm so glad.
03) Favorite episodes/books/movies/etc.?
I don't have enough memories to choose something from TOS and to be honest I don't want to watch it again. I know it's gonna be so tacky for our time, so I want to leave it as it is. The glory of space and the tight uniforms!
And I think there is no need to say that I adore the new movie.
04) Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
Not now, but you never know :)
05) Do you think that more people should get into this fandom?
Oh yes yes! You don't even need to know the past to get into this fandom now. JJ served an amazing purpose for the future fans with his Alternative Universe movie ♥
Merlin
01) What got you into this fandom in the first place?
It was a casual conversation between me and
glenien. We've been seeing the name and the pictures on various communities and we thought it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. And personally I really like the Arthurian legend, so...Then
awakencordy joined the ride and we were fans of Merlin right from the first episode!02) Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
Of course I will stay! It has so much more to give to the fans and it's such a dynamic fandom!
03) Favorite episodes/books/movies/etc.?
It's been quite long since I've watched it, but I think I love the one where everyone goes to Merlin's village to save the people. Morgana was hot there and there were so many Marthur moments, omg.
04) Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
I made lots and lots of icons and wallpapers for this fandom ♥ and I'll keep doing them once season 2 starts!
05) Do you think that more people should get into this fandom?
Yes! I've been pushing everyone to watch it during season 1, I think I should start the pep talk again since summer is here and all my friends have A LOT OF TIME to get into another awesome fandom! It has pretty people (BRADLEY JAMESSSS) and magic, and slash (well at least in our minds)! What more do you want?
