Gone with the wind...

This weekend was absolutely very busy, fun and boring at the same time.
1. Of course the highlight was seeing Star Trek ♥ It was truly wonderful. It's been such a long time since I enjoyed a movie like that!
Me, my brother and
glenien went to the earliest showing, it was at 10:45 am :D There were 5-6 other people with us in the theatre and it was amazing. I like empty theathers when I watch a movie I like. No kids making noises, no papers, no food, no chattering, laughing, cell phones, etc. It was lovely.
But literally we watched almost 20 minutes of commercials and trailers.
glenien and I were almost shouting to the screen "start the damn movie already!!" and it started ♥
- I fell in love with daddy Kirk! He was hot!
- Mommy Kirk!Cameron was amazing too, I cried, yes.
- Jumping out of the car scene was awesome as we all know it. "My names is James Tiberius Kirk." and the legend began.
- Oh god, kid Spock was absolutely wonderful! I wanted to go and hug him so tight! The concept of Spock-izing people looks very appealing to me right now. I thought about shaping my eyebrows like that for a second. Vulcans rock.
- McCoy! OH McCOY YOU SIMPLY ROCKED! =))
- I want to marry Chris Pine. Thanks.
- Old Winona Ryder was weird, but still completely acceptable in a strange way!
- LOL omg Kirk was making out with the green girl, haha! I tought it was Uhura =)) I don't remember if Uhura was with Spock in the original series as well, so it was a very nice suprise for my heart ♥
- The alternative universe idea was very very good. JJ now has a whole different Star Trek universe in his hands and I LOVE IT. It's a completely new universe that everyone can join!
- I want to marry Chris Pine. Thanks.
- I WANT TO ADOBT CHEKOV! =)) He was hillarious! "I CAN DO IT! I CAN DO IT!"
- Oh Sulu, oh Sulu ♥ "Fencing." =)))) But he was amazing with the sword, I literally squeed!
- The swollen tounge scenes were hillariousssssssssssssss! I almost started crying because I was laughing so hard =)))
- Then again, I want to marry Chris Pine, so it's ok. Thanks.
- Zachary Quinto owns our brains and our soul. He was remarkable. 100/10!
- But I will marry Chris Pine. Thanks.
- BEAM ME UP, SCOTTY! =))) SCOTTY AND HIS ALIEN WERE OTP! ♥
- Uhura/Spock kiss was amazing. I fell in love, right there and then. Extreme OTP alarm.
- But then again Kirk and Spock forever, so slash owned our souls.
- Last but not the least, I want to marry Chris Pine. Thanks.
I can't wait for the second movie. GIVE IT TO ME NOW! I have to pre-order the DVD or something. I must own this movie. I actually want to buy it from here, Turkey, I want subtitles and Turkish sub for my mom and dad. Everyone has to see this amazing universe! ♥
Trekkies Bash New Star Trek Film As 'Fun, Watchable'
2. Then we went shopping. I bought 2 very pretty dresses, but I had to give one of them back because mom thought it was too tight. (Pembs, the black one, yes. Woe.) It was so pretty, well *sigh*
And I bought the most comfortable and amazing shorts, I can't wait to wear them. It's pale grey and I tried it on with almost every t-shirt and belt in my wardrobe, they all looked amazing! I won't be taking it off once I start wearing it!
3. Then we went to have dinner in my cousin's house. They are newlyweds and they gave a dinner party for 9 people. Food was very delicious and it felt really great to be the guest for once. I felt weird not dealing with the dishes and food. We should do it more often!
4. We went back home in 10:30 (yeah, it was early, but I was dead tired so didn't go online), and watched Eurovision. Norway won, but I honestly hated the song. It was like one of those songs they teach you in kindergarten. Violin part was somewhat good, but lyrics and the singing: bad bad bad. "I'm in love with a fairytale, even though it HORTS." Fine.
Our song wasn't as good as I expected, Hadise's live performance was mediocre. The dancing and stage were amazing though. I'm proud.
and Patricia Kaas! ♥ I can't believe France was so far behind!
and Dita Von Teese was freakishly beautiful as usual. I didn't know she was gonna be there (didn't see any performances befor the final night), but as soon as I saw that woman dancing behind the singer I was like "Is that Dita Von Teese?" Song was very entertaining, me likey.
UK's song was very beautiful and singer's voice was amazing, but I guess it wasn't enough. 5th place is good though.
As for the second and third places, I don't know. I wasn't a big fan of them. I would rather Albania took the second place and Estonia took the third, but as long as they don't find a fair system for the voting, it will never change.
And LOL, UK gave us 12 points and it was amusing to see Duncan (from Blue) ♥
5. I didn't write a single word the whole weekend, it makes me sad. Tomorrows a holiday, so maybe tonight I might do something.. Don't know.
6. Summer is officially here. I may go and hang out by the pool tomorrow. It will be the first time since we moved to this house. I need a little tan. I'm like a zombie! I didn't get a tan since the summer of 2006, i think...
7. I hate the one day between the weekend and a national holiday. Tomorrow's a holiday, so I don't want to do anything but count down the hours until I go back home.
Hope you guys had a wonderful and warm weekend too, see you all later! ;)
ETA: I had the worst lunch of my life. I detest the pasta section of our dining hall, but all the other choices were so incredibly awful that I had to go and get some pasta. I couldn't eat it all of course, so my lunch simply consists of Diet Coke and an impossibly small apple.

Date: 2009-05-18 11:57 am (UTC)And agreed on Eurovision. I did NOT like the Norwegian entry. Between that and Iceland, I was like whut. Totally forgettable. I actually liked Russia or Israel. They had a message, they weren't totally bland.

Date: 2009-05-18 02:35 pm (UTC)I've said before that I want this cast to have their own TV show instead of movie series because, as you said, it's a new Trek universe now, and I want Kirk and Spock to make out in it on my TV every week. :[

Date: 2009-05-18 02:40 pm (UTC)LOOL Uhura/Spock kiss even made ME shit my pants! I've always thought Kirk got all the pretty ladies (and occasionally they made out with Spock)!
and how awesome would it be if JJ went crazy with the whole Star Trek idea and create an awesome TV series where everybody makes out with everybody in every chance they get and it's all futuristic, sexy and mind blowing every minute of every episode?!?! I would watch that damn thing!
They're just too pretty!

Date: 2009-05-18 05:58 pm (UTC)I just really think Kirk and Spock's friendship developing from omg-I-hate-u enemies to omg-I-fucking-want-to-marry-you-in-your-pants soulmates needs more attention than could be given to them in a series of movies. While a TV series would definitely have enough time to devote to doing their relationship justice. And I just prefer serial semi-procedurals like this because the alien threat concept works better when repeated through several episodes instead of just one big alien threat plot in one movie. Does that make sense? No. I just should just stick to talking about the slash. D:

Date: 2009-05-18 05:35 pm (UTC)To cirrocumulus, there's a rumor that JJ has now taken the liberty of a series right from CBS cause it's the nth year of the TOS' legal rights and so on. I'd totally vote for that but since the sequel is not in plans, it's unlikely. A FANGIRL CAN DREAM THOUGH.
