I don't know if it's a good thing though...
I think the biggest gift us, humans have is the ability to forget some events in our lives. I wouldn't want to be a Super-Memory person. What do you think?

ay bilemiyorum, ben de bazen çok trivial şeyleri hatırlıyorum. (o kadar binlerce sayfa hikaye yazıyoruz beyin gelişiyor ister istemez!) ama böyle mayıs 17, 1994 dedikleri zaman da bir şey çakmıyor! ya da ne biliym doğum günlerimi hatırlamıyorum mesela. 10. doğum günümde ne oldu, god knows. I have no idea. Adam hava durumunu bile veriyor sana o günün. saykopetler var hayatta.

benim hafızam tamamen algıda seçici. sayıları, yolları falan hayatta ezberleyemem mesela. bi şeyin aklımda kalması için onu ya benim bir anıma bağlamam lazım, ya bir hikaye yaratmalıyım, renklendirmeliyim, resmini çizmeliyim böyle bir hafızam var. çok pis bir bilinçaltı depom var ama, orada neler oluyor ben de bilemiyorum. üst hafızada bir numara yok.

Holy crap he's like a walking historical encyclopaedia! That actually does sound cool, but I don't know if I'll want that. You're right that sometimes we struggle so much to forget things enough as it is, especially painful memories. But at the same time sometimes I also wish we could have a Pensieve so we could replay our best memories :)

totally unnecessary imo. he's clinically interesting, but generally, in humankind, I think we're best with our limited memories.
