You'll love it!

I love this show.

No Elena, I will not go to your bedroom with you. )

I'm out of things to say. The painkiller/antibiotic thing got me a little light headed, but it did very little for my sore throat. I think I'm just gonna go to bed, or you know, read, or watch a movie. God, I hate it when I have to go somewhere on Saturdays. This time it's that stinking training. Who on Earth did fucking plan to make the last day of training a Saturday? Stupid HR. Stupid.

Next week it's 3 day weekend, hooray! Unless of course we go to Ankara to visit my grandma, if that happens, you know... 3 days wasted mostly on the road and sitting and listening to several members from my extended family's random problems. Not that I don't love them, but... do not want. And mom kind of agrees with us, so *crosses fingers* I need that 3 day weekend all for myself (just like every other holiday of the year.)

Random fact: How can Kim Kardashian keep that huge butt of hers so firm? If my butt was that big, I would be dragging it on the floor. Some people have such awesome genes (and money/courage for plastic surgery.)

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose.

Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil, without saying a word.

In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners.

- I don't know why everyone is such a fan of Muse's Undisclosed Desires. It's not a very strong song, a little flat even... I have the song, I listened to it several times, but it just didn't click. Maybe one day it'll hit me, but for now, I don't get the hype. It's in every single fanmix. Seriously.

- I slept better last night! Woke up twice, but resisted to turn around and check the time so I could force myself to fall asleep again. Plus, dreams were less crowded and tiring, so success! I think watching Love Actually helped ♥

- I also watched Up in the Air and was expecting it to be boring, but it was delightful, relatable with a very good flow of events!
With a job that has him traveling around the country firing people, Ryan Bingham leads an empty life out of a suitcase, until his company does the unexpected: ground him.

I don't think George Clooney's performance was Oscar worthy though. )

I gave it 5 stars and I recommend you see this movie, you won't regret it.

I only got one.

>> Wow, February already! Then March, then April... Here comes Spring again. Days go by so fast, it's insane!

>> I decided to buy one book each month. One for a month, because I'm ordering them from Amazon.co.uk and shipping + delivery is pricey. This month's book is Saving Juliet by Suzanne Selfors.

>> I woke up with a headache today. Left side of my head was hurting, it's still mildly aching, but ignorable. I really don't want to get sick.

>> It's snowy, wet and cold outside. I'm already bored with snow, so please go away Winter, thanks.

>> Lost is back, but I still haven't caught up the season 5, I should start asap.

>> I tried doing something creative, but my brain insists on being dull and shallow so I'll just hangout at Lolcatz.

Snowww

It's been snowing non stop since Friday, it looks absolutely lovely from where I am, which is in my bed with my laptop and heater fully on. I am so lazy today and I have no interest in getting out of bed. Downloading classic chick flick movies (mostly because I want to make videos) and I'll be chilling until very late at night, then I'll take a shower and sleep for the boring (and cold) week ahead.

I love the smooth pile of snow in my balcony, it looks a like a room full of marshmallow ♥

I've read all these definitions of love several times, but it still touches me every single time!

>> Wednesday is my fav. day of the week. It's in the middle. Weekend is close enough to be happy and it's also far enough to still make plans!

>> I'm downloading couple of HD movies to watch when [livejournal.com profile] glenien and [livejournal.com profile] awakencordy comes over this weekend! Yay! (I have Star Trek, Gamer and Pan's Labyrinth at the moment, waiting for HP and the HBP to download.) I'll never, ever write about our meeting arrangements on LJ again! It's simply bad luck! D:

>> I am once again inspired by [livejournal.com profile] katayla to search some of the books on my amazon wishlist at my brother's university library. Managed to find 3 of them! The Road by Cormac McCarthy, Reading Like a Writer by Francine Prose (yes!) and The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. Hopefully he won't forget to pick them up today after his philosophy final.

>> I have extremely puffy eyes today, because I kept waking up in the middle of the night to drink water! I ate too much pizza last night (mom's not home and I'm too lazy to cook, also goodbye my hopes of losing at least 5 pounds) and I think it was too spicy. Not good, not good at all...

>> I have to exercise. Walk, jog, run, something! I don't like how my body shape is changing. It was an absolute delight to shop after I came back from NY almost 2 FREAKING YEARS AGO and now it's just not fun anymore >=/
thelake: (glee: artie)
Yup, it's a brand new year and nothing's changed whatsoever :P

I directly went to bed after the countdown and opening a couple of presents so I'm very well rested. We'll have guests today, first guests of the year. My cousin and her husband with their new born baby Sude came from London last Friday, they'll be having lunch here at our house today, along with my other cousin and his wife. I only care about the baby, LOL.

Of course, whenever we invite guests to our house mom goes crazy with cleaning and cooking so the first thing I was assigned to do this morning was dusting (which I hate.) I keep sneezing because of dust and smell of cleaning spray but it's okay, as long as mom doesn't start yelling, phew!

Hopefully guests will leave before 8 pm so I can just sit down and write and have a nice night. Tomorrow I'll be meeting with a friend for lunch, she came from NY for the new year. Can't wait to get some gossip, hehe >:)

Okay, now you know what I'll be doing for the next two days so your life is complete. No need to thank me, just doing my friendly duties.

It smells like cabbage, me likes.

Eta: I've updated my TV schedule with returning dates of the shows for winter and I now have a 2010 scrapbook! Yay! :)

>> I can't believe it's the last week of 2009. Time goes by so fast, it's crazy! What are you planning for New Year's eve? For me, it's home, fireplace, TV, food, board games with family, PJs and Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in midnight. Pretty classic.

>> Two people from work apparently were engaged in the weekend and the bride was serving some chocolate to people (some kind of a tradition here, I had absolutely no idea.) and I'm 100% left out. That's pretty rude. I mean you ask people in the next cubicle and you intentionally skip my cubicle? What's up with that?
And I think this officially makes each and every eligible men around me ENGAGED or MARRIED. Thanks, Universe.

>> My brother made me watch this awesome video yesterday. It explains all dimensions from 1 to 10 in such a simple and fun way, take a look:

>> I watched Invention of Lying and Adventureland last night. Both were extremely boring and pointless movies, I had to skip the last 45 mins. or so just to see how they ended. I was expecting more from Invention of Lying, but Ricky Gervais is such a repelling person for me, even Jennifer Garner couldn't save the movie. The ideas were pretty awesome though, I wish it could be done by some other group of people... As for Adventureland, Kristen Stewart and Ryan Reynolds? Ugh, please no. Seperately they're okay (Ryan Reynolds is more than okay!), but together, ugh, no, a big no.

Eta: Oh great, I ordered new year presents online and they completely messed up the order. I hate it when it happens. Now I have to send some stuff back and wait for them to deliver the new ones which will probably happen after New Year's. Damn.
