I'll have iLASIK surgery this Friday! ♥

I went to see a doctor today and went through 10-11 tests all morning and they approved my surgery request!

I've been using glasses and conatct lenses since I was 8 years old! I'm near sighted; it's not extreme, but stil I can't see without glasses.

This is going to be awesome! I'm extremely excited!!!

To correct your vision with the iLASIK procedure, a thin corneal flap needs to be created. There are two ways to make this flap: a blade or the IntraLase™ FS laser. The iLASIK procedure EXCLUSIVELY uses the IntraLase laser; it's part of what makes iLASIK vision correction unique.

The iLASIK procedure only takes minutes. It reshapes your cornea to correct the refractive imperfections in your eye (these imperfections are essentially the reason you are nearsighted, farsighted, etc.). Here's what happens:

- You get an extensive exam by an iLASIK surgeon (Which is done this morning!)
- Computers/software are used to make an individual blueprint of your eyes; this blueprint is used to drive your laser correction and is what gives you a truly customized result
- A laser is used to make a thin flap in your cornea
- You'll be given numbing drops so you won't feel pain
- This flap enables the surgeon to make the iLASIK correction
- A second laser is used to make the correction to your cornea, based on your unique vision/eye characteristics
- This correction is completely computer driven
- It's safe, fast and virtually painless
- You can have great vision without glasses or contacts


- You ARE AWAKE during the iLASIK procedure, but you may be given medication to relax
- Your eyes will be numbed with drops, and aside from a little pressure, YOU MOST LIKELY WON'T FEEL A THING during the procedure
- Typically BOTH EYES are treated during the same visit
- The iLASIK procedure generally takes less than 10 MINUTES per eye
- Outcomes may vary. NINETY-EIGHT PERCENT of nearsighted patients participating in the Advanced CustomVue™ FDA Clinical Trials could see 20/20 or better one year after treatment

I hope everything goes okay and I won't need glasses again for the rest of my life! :D

yazarken tereddüt ettim hatta 2 kere sildim, ama bildiğimi düşündüğüm bir şeyi söylemenin de gerekli olduğunu düşündüm. boşuna konuşmak ya da korkutmak değildi amacım, özür dilerim gerçekten.

aşırı aşırı uzman değilim bu konuda, 5.sınıftan beri miyobum ve actually o zamandan beri sadece 0,25 numara bir gözüm büyüdü.. hep aynıydı.. ama fazla araştırmasını filan da yaptırmadım. sadece teyzemin muayenesine gitmiştik, o sırada danıştım ben de.. doktorlarla haşır neşirim aile içinde bildim bileli, böyle bir tavrı yadırgamadım ne yalan söyleyeyim. sanırım, "doktordur ne dese doğrudur" gibi birşey var ailede.. onlar kabul edince ben de kabul ettim.

sana değildi zaten benim de direkt olarak rahatsızlığım. tabii ki sana ne denirse sen de onu kabul edeceksin, hele bir de doktordan geliyor. Ama o yaklaşım hiç hiç doğru bir yaklaşım değil. ona göre sen de kendi kendini korkutma demek istedim. öyle bir şey aklına düşerse tekrar başka bir doktora gitmeni tavsiye ederim :)
