A year in review...

Everyone's making a 2010 post in one way or another, this is mine :) I'm just gonna open up my LJ archive and walk through my year by looking at the subject of the entries (and sometimes the entry itself)

Yes, I have a lot of time in my hands and I really don't want to get anything done at work today. I'll probably regret it next year (haha! I totally made that joke, yessss!), but whatever. Let's do this!



January - archive

Okay, the highlights of that month were:

- awakencordy's graduation WHICH WAS EPIC! ♥
- Dollhouse. I wish it was more successful.
- Lovely Bones (the book and the movie). I still go back and read the lines I noted down from the book ♥
- Snow. I wonder if we'll ever have snow this year. It's crazy how rest of Europe is battling with ice age and we're all mildy cold and shit >=/

February - archive

- Me getting bored of Winter, LOL forever! I'm such a baby!
- The news of SyFy revamping classical fairy tales. I haven't seen any of them. Fail.
- Lost. Apparently I had made a huge theory entry, too! Wow. I didn't know I was that invested and excited. Then I was made of disappoint after the finale, so yeah. There goes nothing..
- LEGEND OF THE SEEKER! *sobs in a dim corner*

March - archive

- Deciding to apply for a better job. Never heard anything back from them. Stupid. Now, after 9 months, I don't want to leave my job, ever.
- FANDOM STEEL CAGE MATCH MARCH MADNESS ♥ ♥ I can't wait for this year's round! So much awesome fandom tiems with awesome people! :D
- A VERY POTTER MUSICAL. Wow, was it this year? Feels like it's been 10 years since I first saw it! Special 2010 is special.
- United States of Tara. I got bored and didn't continue, but then I picked it up by the end of Summer and waiting for the new season now ♥

April - archive

- Mom's and awakencordy's birthdays. Always a special occasion ~~ ♥
- Tim Burton to direct Maleficent live-action movie. I wonder if this will ever happen.
- My Harry Potter book collection arriving. I'm still reading Order of the Phoenix. FAIL FAIL FAIL. But kudos for finishing the 1st book in the same month =)) SO MUCH FAIL OMG.
- The Vampire Diaries. I officially fell in love.

May - archive

- Brother's Bday. Again, always an occasion ♥
- Save Our Seeker campaign. *sobs in a dim corner*
- Cougar Town. Apparently after the 1st season finale, I became a stan for the show.
- LEGEND OF THE SEEKER FINALE ;__; So sad, so so sooo sad.
- Lost Finale. DISAPPOINT. But Jate was end game so hell to the yeah.

June - archive

- Drop Dead Diva. Such an awesome show, people. Watch it.
- Glee's Bohemian Rhapsody finale. Good old times ~~ ♥
- The big project I was made a part of. IT IS STILL ONGOING AND I HATE IT WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL. I want it to be over asap. Asap = now. D:

July - archive

- Dad's birthday. Special occasion and cake cake cake! ♥
- Toy Story 3. ♥ ♥
- A Very Potter Sequel. ♥ ♥
- Avatar (the airbender animated series one). It was such a magical journey. I wish I had seen it long before this year. Zuko/Katara ♥
- Inception. Big hype, not much material to be hyped about. I wasn't impressed at all.

August - archive

- glenien's birthday. Occasions are never ending! ♥ Hers is even more so...
- Mockingjay. I really liked the last few chapters, I still do. Could have been better, but still better than your average sparkly vampire bunch.
- iPHONE!. I'll keep paying the installments for my credit card until August 2011. Damn.

September - archive

- MAH BIRTHDAY AND THE MOST AWESOME MONTH EVER!
- And some TV like Hellcats and such.
- Plus I've read Switching Time again which was a pleasure. I'll probably read it again sometime next year :D

October - archive

- Lost Girl. Hot hot hot.
- A whole a lot of certificate exams for IBM. I think there were only 2 exams, but whatever, times were stressful.
- The Social Network. Smart, moving, pretty, dark, quiet, sad, awesome.

November - archive

- Nanowrimo. Failed. I was 5K short, I think.. Or 7, idk.
- Harry Potter Epicness occured and I was pretty happy about it.
- Misfits. Epic season was epic! Simon/Alisha ♥
- The incident with mom. It cost me 2 weeks of rage, her, a friend. We're good now, though. Better than ever actually.

December - archive

- Modern Family. I gave in and I regret nothing! It's delightful! ♥
- Black Swan. Best movie of the year.
- Howl's Moving Castle. Best movie of the year 2004. LOL.

Aside from those details, I finished writing 2 novels (Imogen and 7+1=2) and started the 3rd one. My mom is currently reading one of my previous novels (Viva) and she thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread which gives me awesome fuzzy feelings ♥ She want me to meet a publisher, instantly get published and become rich. From her lips to God's ears.

I got a quite big raise in July and I'm hoping to have another one soon, but we'll see. Work was boring for the first half of the year, but then it suddenly got HECTIC as hell after that. I still have tons of stuff to do and due dates are so close, but I'm trying not to panic at the moment. It's New Year's Eve after all ♥

Now moving on with a review for the resolutions I made for 2010. I completely forgot what I wrote, so let's see...


Review of 2010 resolutions
1. Write more regularly
I did. I wrote almost every weekend and I wrote a lot! Not like I used to, but still. 2 novels, people! I think it's pretty good!

2. Apply for MBA
I didn't do that and I'm not going to do it anytime soon. Being a student again doesn't appeal to me at all right now.

3. Stop stressing about being single
I didn't stop. I think this year "being single" was one of the most stressful topics for me. I'll try not to think about it much in 2011. Apparently I'm not enough of a "people person" to find my one and only.

4. Have an awesome summer vacation

5. Be awesome with your family
Check. Except the fight I had with my mom, but forget it. CHECK.

6. Be in the lookout for new job opportunities
I was, but then I decided I don't wanna. I'm not looking for anything new in 2011. I'm content with my job even though it kicks my ass most of the time.

7. Read
I did! I did I did! And I bought lots of books, too! I'll be better at this next year.

8. Be selective when it comes to TV shows
FAIL. Once again I watched everything I could find. I REGRET NOTHING.

9. Buy awesome stuff for yourself, you deserve it
I bought 3 awesome sets: Friends complete series, Harry Potter complete book series and Death Note complete series.
I'm still made of fail on the clothes department though. Most of my stuff is at least 2 years old. I'll do some shopping next month.

10. Be healthy
Check. I wasn't sick this year. Not once. I had some minor stuff, but I never stayed in bed and missed a work day. Kudos to me for being awesome ♥

I don't want to make any resolutions for this year, not now at least. Maybe later...

Almost everyone left the office. It's 4:20 pm and blissfully quiet ♥ I'll wait until 6 to leave. Don't want to take the bus and walk the slope in this weather. It's freezing outside. BUT NO SNOW.

I'll listen to some music and do a bit of coding until 6. See you all next year ;) ♥
