Thanks to
refche for bringing these 2 videos up in her own journal.
This a pretty long (23 minutes) seminar about how brain works by giving examples like phantom limbs, synesthesia, head injuries etc. I've always been fascinated by anything related to brain and it was definitely one of the most enjoyable things I've ever watched! If for any reason the video freezes you can go to the main page and use the download links: http://www.ted.com/talks/vilayanur_ramachandran_on_your_mind.html
Also if you're looking for some groundbreaking news on how to control our emotions (especially pain) by controlling our brain functions, watch this:
Very Dollhouse-sque ~~ :D Download links are on the main page: http://www.ted.com/talks/christopher_decharms_scans_the_brain_in_real_time.html
