thelakeOverall, I'm not very impressed with this book, but then again, growing up and graduating is strange, so yeah...
- To be honest the whole Michelle/Blake/Topher thing really didn't work for me. It was completely independent from everyone else we know (aside from George's heroic act which was nice.). It's almost like not caring about new interns in Scrubs or Grey's Anatomy.
Yes it was the main thing that led Amy to report against Darren Gehry and reveal the secret of Rose & Grave, so they can finally accept barbarians in their tomb, but still...
- I was so pissed that Jamie actually had gone away and until the very last page, I was convinced that he was just a fling in Amy's very complicated senior year, but thank god he came back. Not exactly what I pictured the ending to be, but still, Amy and Jamie together with 1st class tickets to England is something I can settle for.
- Honestly there wasn't much to say for the last 3 chapters, because it was almost full of school politics which I admit, read much faster and more careless than I read the rest.
Yes this was pretty grown up and generally made me think about the choices I made when I was Amy's age, but not as fun as Rites of Spring (Break)
I had fun and am so glad I met the witty Amy Haskel! ♥ Rampant and killer unicorns are next! (not so soon though...)
