Damn you, 50K!


45292 / 50000 words. 91% done!

It feels like I've written another novel, but it was only 2000 words! How is that fair? My story is already concluded in itself, but I'm only powering through just to make it 50K and keep my promise to myself. I will do it even if it ends me! I.WILL.DO.IT.

Yes, I'm crazy. It's just, I need to sleep, you know...

Maybe one more chapter... Come on, I can do it, COME.ON.

NOOOO. Speaking from experience, DON'T power through just to get to 50k. I RUINED one of my stories doing that. The story is much more important than the word count!

It's going to haunt me forever if I leave it here. I can still write some stuff without ruining the whole thing, that's for sure. I have to get 50K, Katie! I have to reach that goal!

Aw, well, I'm glad you finished then! YAY! I just read your other entry and it sounds you have something exciting to move on to anyway! :D

And yeah. We should all take a pledge to NOT do NaNo or something. Not that it's bad in general, but it seems like it's not a good idea for a lot of our writing style's.
