I think they're giving sedatives before the surgery, just to make you feel a little more comfortable. I really don't want to call it a surgery! It's a very simple procedure! and trust me, eye is the strongest organ in our body. The controls before the actual things was more stresful than the lasik surgery itself!

They're measuring the thickness of your cornea, and they poke your eye (very gently) with a little plastic thing and you feel nothing but a little pressure. I'm sure the laser will be nothing compared to that!

and it doesn't take more than 15 minutes! you should really re-consider! I'll let you know about my actual experience once I can see well!
