It's cos they haven't gone through all that throwing your childhood toys away/moving out stage.
And also some of them probably wouldn't even have seen the first or second movie.
I've watched Toy Story 1 more times than I can remember.

My favourite characters were the three little green peas :D and of course I love the three lil' aliens!!
