holy shit!

HOLY MOTHER FUCKER! SHE IS GOING BACK TO THE ARENA!? THAT IS MEAN!!!

I haven't read the rest, so no spoilers, but COME.ON! D:

LOL! My expectations were so low, I gasped when I heard President Snow announced the big thing about the 75th games. I was waiting for some kind of war, but this is pretty awesome.

It took me almost 4 hours, but I've done it! I think I might have forgotten how to blink...

SO THERE WAS A REVOLUTION AFTER ALL! YAY FOR THAT! The Games were absolutely amazing. I'm sure there were a couple of questionable things, but I don't remember anything except the awesome feeling of knowing there is a DISTRICT 13!

We now have to save Peeta! Gale is back! There is no District 12! Prim is alive! Katniss is going crazy! It is awesome!

BUT I HAVE TO WAIT FOR 6 MONTHS BEFORE I READ THE THIRD BOOK! D:

Dammit.

HAHA! I HATED that plot twist when I first read it. HATED it! But then I kept going and it was pretty good!

And I'm excited to see what happens in the last one!

I love your caps... just saying ;)

:))) They become even more ridiculous if I actually love the book!

=)) I WAS HOPING WE SEE ANOTHER ROUND OF GAMES, BUT I NEVER THOUGHT KATNISS AND PEETA WOULD GO BACK! I have to admit I was a tiny bit disappointed that we'll somehow miss all the fun in revolution, but it turn out WE ARE THE REVOLUTION! Yay, yay and yay. Can it be August now?

I kind of wanted to see Katniss and Peeta as mentors! That would've been soooo interesting.

Hee, YES, IT'S AUGUST NOW. ;)

I wanted that, too. I even thought they would mentor the new kids from District 12 and secretly become leaders of the revolution that way, but I guess this is better. I think brand new tributes would be hard to relate to at this point. Old victors and our very own Katniss and Peeta being on the target again was familiar, yet even more exciting than the first book! Also the Island! So Lost-esque! =))

That's what I thought, too! And I'm not convinced this way was better. It wasn't BAD, but I think it took away some of the excitement for me. But hopefully the next book will change that.

I can understand your disappointment. Maybe if Katniss were a little more suspicious about Haymitch's ongoing plans it would have been better, because the flow of event were obviously pointing to "being mentors". I think this is the ultimate disadvantge of the 1st person POV, it gives you false expectations and sometimes when the character is suprised you end up being disappointed instead. Writing is risky business, very very risky.

OH. WHICH SPEAKING OF: Do you remember this writingfun post?
http://community.livejournal.com/writingfun/4882.html

I totally wrote about some of the first person POV problems in this specific book.

OH GOD, YES! I didn't comment on that post, but this proves Catching Fire has problems with the POV. *nods*
