Lol, this would totally work for a lot of other fantasy epic type stuff,too. It's a common structure!

ALSO, it works for shipping! After the first movie, tons of people shipped Leia/Luke just like people shipped Harry/Hermione and neither was the end couple. (For different reasons though, lol.)

that common structure thing annoys me sometimes. I'm thinking I have the next bestseller idea, but when I sit down and think about the general points in the story I almost always find something identical to mine. annoying.

and I'm in such a foul mood today, blah. damn you pms.

Yeah, it's that whole "there are no original ideas" thing. Sometimes I feel like I'm even stealing from myself which, ugh.

But I guess it's all about what you do with it. :-/

I steal from myself all the time! Mostly the characters that were pointless in previous stories suddenly becomes the lead in another story (with a different background and all, of course)

Yup, I believe in that. Presentation is everything!
