First of all; thank you all for replying to my "sudden depression" entry yesterday, I really appreciate it ♥

I've been working non stop the whole day! I'm done with the overdue project yay! It looks so nice :) And today I started another thing, it's about the telephone banking and it's my favourite so no worries here. I feel like I'm solving a puzzle, fun fun fun! (really!)

Today's my brother's 19th birthday! ♥ We didn't call him or wish him a happy birthday today, acting like we all forgot about it, but I'm almost sure he doesn't care a bit LOL! I'm not sure if he actually knows it's his birthday today. My airheaded brother is like that... (not all the time though, LOL, i just love him so much ♥)

So Kris Allen won American Idol, huh? I don't watch AI at all, but seeing from all of you guys, I gotta say he was my favourite. I've seen some performances on youtube and I thought he was really good (don't know anything about Adam though, so not a very good judge)
I'm looking forward to hear more of him. Gimme song names, special performances and such. SEE THE COMMENTS FROM fauxkaren! SHE PICKED THE BEST STUFF! ♥

It's 5:20 pm now, the work day is almost over, and suprisingly I'm not that tired today, yay! (It must be about the birthday cake I'm gonna devour tonight. Yummmmmmmm.)

And before I go; I watched the 1st ep. of Lost Season 5 a couple of days ago and dude, it's too complicated, I need ultimate brain power to get into the "Lost state of mind" again! Seriously.

I know it's gonna be an HBO series, but I don't know when it's gonna air, you guys have any idea?

I'm being such a Kris Allen diehard right now. Thus you're getting way more links than you could possibly have asked for. Kris might not have the biggest voice in the competition, but he has a great sense of musicality and can really emote in his songs. His voice also has this really smooth soulful sound to it that I love.

First, every week the contestants record the songs in a studio and then they're released as singles. These three songs were better as singles than they were on the show, so I'm going to link you to those.

Falling Slowly - Kris sang this for Movies week when everyone else was singing horrible Bryan Adam's ballads.


All She Wants to Do is Dance - Kris say this for "Year You Were Born Week" and it was probably his weakest performance, but I LOVE grooving to this recording.


Come Together - I looooved this even though the judges didn't. It's one of my favorite Beatles songs and I thought that Kris did a good job with it. The performance was good too, but I'm attatched to the studio version, so here it is.

Ain't No Sunshine - Performed as his reprise song on the finale, and I think it won the competition for him. (This video has the random intro stuff in the beginning and the judges at the end, but this was the best quality I could find). Ugh! Heartless - Top 3 night, Kris completely reworked this Kanye West hip-hop song into a cool acoustic number. (again with the intro and judges, but it's worth it to get Kris's pretty face in good quality) This was actually where Kris became a front runner. Everyone was expecting him to go home that night, but he came out swinging! Again, I'm just gonna link to the vid here.

She Works Hard for the Money - On Disco Night, Kris made this Disco anthem into a really chill song with a bit fo a Latin vibe.


Finally, Kris rocked out on this duet of "Kiss a Girl" with Keith Urban last night. I don't even like country music and I loved this!


Ahem. And if Kris managed to pique your interest after that, he has an album of songs that he wrote and recorded independently before Idol that you can download here. I think it's a great album and it's been my jam for the past few weeks.

LOL I've officially been in love with Kris for a few weeks and I'm so happy he won... first winning Idol I cared and am happy about since Season 4. It's just too bad he's married, huh?

I'll definitely buy his album though when it comes out!
